Anything Events and Rentals

I contracted Anything Events and Rentals for wedding decor in March of 2024. My wedding took place on June 12, 2025. The owner of Anything Events and Rentals, Bianca Burney, explained to me that decor rentals are for 24 hours only and must be picked up and returned by the renter. We agreed that I would pick up the decor on June 11, 2025, after 5pm. Ms. Burney explained that at pick up the decor would be clearly labeled in totes with the name of the product and a brief note on where it is intended to be placed. At 4:49 pm on June 11, 2025, Ms. Burney texted me to explain that the rentals were not ready for pick up and instead she would deliver the decor to my wedding venue at 9:00am. My wedding was scheduled to begin at 10:00am. I explained to Ms. Burney that I would have four people waiting for her to unload the decor and set up for the wedding. On the morning of the wedding, June 12, 2025, I was unable to reach Ms. Burney until after 9am. When we spoke, she falsely told me she was only ten minutes away from the venue with the decor. An hour later, Ms. Burney showed up with three totes and trash bags stuffed with decor. There were no labels or instructions as promised, the products were stained, and dirty, and the table napkins were two different shades. She did not bring many of the items I ordered. It appeared that she had just received a return of the items and didn’t have time to organize them. I have attached the invoice and highlighted the items I did not receive. Instead of allowing my set-up team access to her van when she arrived, Ms. Burney walked inside the venue, appearing disheveled and talking/texting on her phone. She walked around asking to speak to the venue owner and insisted on showing my husband pictures of prior events she had decorated on the phone. When she finally allowed my set-up team to upload the decor, it was around 10:30am, my guests had arrived and were surrounded by chaos. Some of them even helped with unloading and set up. I spoke with Ms. Burney after my wedding, and she refused to issue any remedy or refund for her lateness and lack of products.
